Shipping Method and Delivery Estimates
The shipping methods on an order are only based on the item in transit and do not include processing time. The delivery estimate on your order is not a guaranteed shipping date due to order processing delays across our vendors, weather-related shipping delays, or other factors beyond our control. For example, your order is received on a Friday before 12midnight, you will have these shipping delivery estimates*:

  • Overnight Shipping - if the product is in stock, estimated delivery is next Tue. (1 business day transit + 1 business day processing).
  • 2-Day Shipping - if the product is in stock, estimated delivery is next Wed. (2 business days transit + 1 business day processing).
  • Priority Shipping - if the product is in stock, estimated delivery is next Thu./Fri. (3-4 business days transit + 1 business day processing).
  • Standard Shipping - if the product is in stock, estimated delivery is within 5-10 business days (4-9 business days transit + 1 business day processing).
  • APO/FPO, Alaska, or Hawaii Shipping - if the product is in stock, estimated delivery is within 10-12 business days (9-11 business days transit + 1 business day processing).

 

Once your order has shipped, we will finalize payment and we will send you a shipping notification email with tracking information details. Please use a valid email address during checkout when ordering to help ensure you can receive order-related messages from us. We only send order confirmation and shipping emails about your order unless you sign up for our sales & event list emails too. We respect your privacy and honor your communication preferences - don't worry about us selling your email or spamming you.

At this time we do not ship internationally and only ship to US addresses. We ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and APO/FPO addresses with longer processing times and longer shipping times. To help reduce shipping errors and delays, provide an accurate street address (please do not use PO Boxes for shipping) for prompt delivery of your order.


Order Processing

*Note: Some items have longer processing times. For example, some Horny Toad, Mountain Khakis, and Patagonia products may ship directly from the manufacturer. Those items will have a slightly longer processing time (including on expedited shipping orders). Once those items have shipped from the manufacturer, we will send you a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number for those items. These items may be shipped separately from other items on your order and may arrive in multiple packages.


Easy Ordering

Credit Card Billing
When you place your order, your card is only authorized during order processing. We will finalize payment as we ship the items in your order. If your order is fulfilled across multiple shipments, you may see multiple charges reflecting each shipment.

3rd-Party Payments Billing
When you place your order with 3rd-party payment systems, including PayPal, they will verify your account funds during order processing. We will finalize payment through those 3rd-party payment systems as we ship the items in your order. If your order is fulfilled across multiple shipments, you may see multiple charges reflecting each shipment.

Gift Cards
Available in a variety of pre-set amounts, gift cards are perfect for the hard-to-please. They can be shipped directly to the recipient and are redeemable online, at any of the stores, or by phone. To pay with a gift card by phone, simply call us at 877-846-7589 and order by phone Mon.-Fri. 9am-5pm ET.

Promotional Items
As a way to say thanks for ordering online, we offer promotional items from time to time. These items are only available for a limited time and cannot be returned for cash, store credit, or exchanged. If your order is returned for any reason, the promotional item that was included with the shipment must also be returned for the purchased item to be eligible for refund or store credit.

Returns and Exchanges

Return Policies
We think that all our gear is the best out there, but if for some reason it isn't EXACTLY what you wanted, never fear, our returns policy is one of the best in the business.

Just return the item to us with...

  • the original receipt
  • within 90 days
  • with tags
  • in new, unused and unworn condition


and you will receive a full refund. Sale items should be returned in 30 days in the same condition as above, for a full refund. Easy, right?

All returns made within the 90/30 day window will be issued a refund with the original method of payment. Any cash purchases over $50 will be refunded with a company check.

Returns received with original receipt and tags in new, unused and unworn condition after 90/30 days but within a year of purchase will receive a store credit for the full amount of purchase. Even better, that store credit is good forever! (And ever and ever!)

We do have a few things that can’t be returned (unless defective of course): Final Sale Items, Underthings, climbing gear, Yakima products, sunglasses without tags, and shoes that have been worn or are without original packaging/box. In order for us to accept returns or exchanges on swimwear and bathing suits, they must be in unused, new condition with tags and with hygiene strips still attached.

Items returned without both the original receipt AND in new, unused and unworn condition with tags will receive store credit for the current selling price.

 

Half-Moon Final Sale Items:

Final Sale Items (anything that is red lined on the tag) cannot be returned or exchanged.

If you ship return merchandise on your own without using our return shipping label, we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged returns. Without our return label, you must use a shipping method that is both insured and can be tracked with signature confirmation. We cannot help you track or verify receipt of your returned items unless you use our return label or you can provide tracking information of your return shipment.

Exchanges
Exchanges can be made at any of our store locations, if accompanied by the original tags and receipt and the item is in new, unused/unworn condition. Exchanges online are handled by purchasing the new item online and then returning the original item through the normal return process.

Price Adjustments

Previously purchased items on sale
If your new gear goes on sale or is further marked down within 5 days of your original purchase, we will honor the price adjustment between the two and reimburse you with your original method of payment.

Troubleshooting Orders

What Is An Offline Order?
In the event that we cannot verify that the billing address, phone number, and email that you've provided match the information the bank has associated with the form of payment that you're using, your order will be sent offline. An offline order is a result of our Credit Card Security system red-flagging your order due to some sort of discrepancy.

Did I Get Charged?
A common misconception when dealing with an offline order is that the customer is being charged, but not receiving product. If for some reason you have received an email indicating that your order cannot be processed due to invalid Credit Card information, but yet your bank account is showing a charge please do not worry. There actually is no charge to your account, but rather a hold on the funds you were trying to use to purchase the product. The hold will be lifted once the validity of the Credit Card is established, or the order is cancelled.

What Do I Do Next?
If you receive an email explaining that your order has been sent offline, please do not despair. More times than not it is simply user error when entering your check-out information. You can either try to place a secondary order through our website, or you can just give us a call so we can make sure everything is being entered correctly. Please be advised that for every order that you place, there will be a hold for the price of that item put towards your account.
